WATCH: See Credo Chicago in Action!
Note from Credo Founder Peter Slowik
The last month has been filled with so much energy, joy, excitement, and satisfaction. For the 24th year, we celebrated the "original recipe" of the Credo Festival in Oberlin. 70 students and faculty created a beautiful community of music, laughter, and serving others. The week before Oberlin, I was excited to experience our second "city festival": Chicago. I'm thrilled that these new city festivals open up the Credo way of life to so many new families. I'm thrilled to be in the midst of planning for Credo Boston, coming later this month. As we prepare for these expansions of our mission, I'm grateful for our new Executive Director, Brooke Smith – who officially joined us July 1. Brooke's experience and heart will facilitate even greater musical and spiritual connections for the Credo family. Thank you for being a part of our journey – we have an exciting 25th-anniversary year ahead!
Credo Chicago
…was held at Christ Church Oakbrook June 26 to 30. Credo returned to our roots (Credo began in 1999 in the far northern suburb of Woodstock, IL) while inspiring students from two dozen families with Credo's integration of music, faith, and service. Two missional highlights included our students performing at Chicago's largest homeless shelter (Pacific Garden Mission) and in the community fostered by the Lawndale Christian Health Center.
